Star-studded ‘royal wedding’ with a cast of a thousand

Nothing elaborate or overly dramatic, said a friend of the groom, who was nonetheless moved to tears.

After at least five years of dating, two much-publicized marriage proposals, eight bridal showers and an almost nightly prime-time news update of their wedding plans on their home network leading up to an "official pre-nup video" released late last week, celebrity show-biz couple Dingdong Dantes (Jose Sixto Rafael Dantes III), 34, and Marian Rivera (Marian Rivera Gracia), 30, finally tied the knot Tuesday afternoon in star-studded rites at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Cubao, Quezon City.

Their home studio, GMA Network, tagged it a "Royal Wedding."
