Apple Announces New iPod Touch, More Colors for Nano & Shuffle

bb

It has long been clear that the iPod is now far from the most-successful product in Apple’s line-up, and is there mainly due to historic value. That hasn’t stopped Apple from announcing a new Touch model online along with new colors for the tinier models.

The Best iPod Touch yet

The new iPod Touch is the 6th interation of the Touch line-up, and the first one since 2012’s iPod Touch the 5th. The biggest upgrades are internal: A dual-core 64-bit Apple A8 chipset with M8 motion co-processor.
At the back you’ll find a new 8 megapixel iSight camera with Flash, along with an improved FaceTime HD camera at the front. The camera on the rear can also record 1080p videos, with slo-mo and burst modes.

Apple Music will come on the iPod, as a part of iOS 8.4. The new Wi-Fi is said to be three times faster than before. It does loose the loop, which was a pop-out wrist-band extension on the back but we are not too sure many people even used it.
The new iPod Touch will come in a bunch of co lours: silver, gold, space grey, pink, blue and Product Red. It starts at a cheaper $199 for the 16 GB entry-level model, with the 32 and 64 GB versions costing $50 and $100 more. The new 128 GB model will be available for $399. All of them are already available for sale and certainly provide the cheapest ways of sneaking into iOS.

New Colors for the iPod Nano and Shuffle

Finally, one of the cheaper ways to be a part of the Apple family, the iPod Shuffle and Nano are getting more colorful. The two micro-iPods will get the three colors which are prevalent in every recent Apple product: Space Grey, Gold and Silver. If you are an owner of the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, you can now get a matching iPod Nano or Shuffle too.
